One of the biggest advantages of Isterra products is that we breed and test our varieties in Hungary with our own team, enabling us to produce varieties customised to local environmental and soil conditions and customer expectations.

WHAT DO YOU need TO KNOW ABOUT WHEAT BREEDING AT ISTERRA?
Isterra is the Hungarian subsidiary of the French companies Florimond Desprez and Axereal. We operate our own breeding station and produce and distribute seeds in Hungary.
We have a solid professional background, relying on experts from France and other regions and state-of-the-art tools and technologies in breeding, seed propagation and processing.
Wheat candidates in our domestic wheat breeding program are tested at more than 10 locations in the Central European region. Our goal is to offer our customers certified and sealed seeds of high-yielding varieties best adapted to the requirements of the region, regardless of season.
Hungary's most reputable agricultural seed distributors are also involved in selling our products. The exclusive distributor of our most popular winter wheat varieties (Basilio, Cellule and Frenetic) is KITE. Complice is solely distributed by IKR, adding a special value to their wheat portfolio.
